first run in LA

Koke, my dad's dog and I went for an evening jog after dinner tonight.
As we making our way down the road, we came upon three ladies and a beautiful Rottweiler on an evening walk as well. The Rot got super excited to see Koke and bound towards us only to be pulled back by her owner. We parted ways and made our way to the other side of the road. As we went, their group was staying at the same pace as us and the Rot kept happily going up and down the curb all the while staring at Koke. One time, he missed and took a huge spill only to be categorized with the best of clutzes. All four of us women started laughing and stopped our jogs for a moment to laugh at the silly pup who kept his eyes on the prize. Just as we began to move on, I said..."you be careful now there bud."  No sooner than the words had left my lips, he turns to stare at Koke again and runs SMACK dab into a street sign pole! That was it...the laughter rang for blocks! One of the ladies said, it's moments like this you wish you had video cameras following you all of the time. What a you tube video that would have made!

The irony in statement is one, I'm in California where people actually do have video crews following them around everywhere they go AND two, you all really would have loved watching it on Youtube!

If jogging comes this easy all summer, I may just sign up for a marathon. NOT!
