why is it harder in the Chicago heat

training is seriously SO much harder here than when I was in California last year. One, because I work a full time job. Two, because it's HOT and  humid. But I must confess it's also because it takes a lot of motivation to get me outside here and that truth makes me sad. So, out of the house I go. To run and then shower and then bike to work... thanks Justin for asking!!!

HERE I AM

I know you've all been wondering. Where'd she go? Where's KRISTEN?
 well

I moved home.
then I did my tri.
then i moved to pittsburgh, and it wasn't always the pits, but definitely believe it's called that for a reason.
and now, 2 weeks ago, I moved home to Chicago again.

And, it felt freeing, and then yucky, and then good again, and today I was like, where can I run away to, and yet in the same day, I'm back to freeing. Because honestly at the end of the day for me, it's usually about making sure i get out what's on the inside, and not letting it take me over.
So, I searched for motivation and found a bunch. This article was inspiriting...
I knew somewhere deep down that I actually do know what to do to take care of my soul and body and remembered. I went deep inside and found my home, my center, and God did the rest.

What did I find and what's the point of this random post? Well, it was to tell you I'm back. I am looking fwd to using this blog as inspiration and accountability.

I will shortly, as in when I finish this post, go outside and begin training once again. This time for the Chicago triathlon as well as the one I did last year. So, if you read this still or perhaps stop by to say hello anytime soon, thanks. And may you do that thing you never thought you could.
Anna did.
I did, I do.
and, I will keep doing them. Because I love living life.

what I needed

Hey ya'll. So, here goes nothing. I have had a crappy day. But then, I had a thought. GO READ Anna's blog. This was right after I posted this as my facebook status update.
"Ability is what you're capable of doing. Motivation determines what you do. Attitude determines how well you do it." - Lou Holtz
Lou, my ability is amazing, my motivation and attitude suck!
So, here's what I saw on her page...
 I will call it motivation.
Count your blessings Kristen.
Thanks Anna.
Thanks Ida you precious puppy dog you!

Off I go to do my run.
